Welcome to Bathurst Heads Bush Camping

Alka Bawar (Kalpowar) Aboriginal Corporation provides regulated bush camping in the area adjacent to the Marrett River and at Bathurst Heads. Bathurst Heads Campground is available to campers. There are no designated camps spots, so you are welcome to camp where suitable within the Reserve.

 No toilet or shower facilities are available.

Campers are to be self-sufficient as there are no fuel or supplies facilities in the area. The last stop for fuel and supplies is Laura. There is limited phone reception in the area. Campsites have limited shade available. Water supply is limited. Campers should bring sufficient drinking water with them. Campers are to book their site, and print and display a copy of the booking on the dashboard of their vehicle.

Kalpowar Rangers do regular compliance patrols to check on the area. Please take all rubbish with you as there are no facilities for rubbish collection.
